Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Basically I want to make my own calender with my own photos etc.
Does anyone know of any good calender making software on the interweb? Preferably free or at least cheap? By the way I have tried googling etc, dont seem to be getting anywhere!

Or is there another way to do it?
    Thanks in advance

You could use photobox.ie or Shakespeare Photobooks

Both seem excellent alright but the problem is having to order it.
I was hoping for something i could design myself and then simply print off

Do you have Microsoft Publisher? There is calendar templates in that.

The Kodak shop in Drogheda had a load of claendars a few weeks ago when I was last in. They were just normal flip calendars, but you could slid your own 6x4 photos into it.

Didn't look amazing, but it didn't look bad either (thouh i always think 6x4 is too small to bother printing in the first place). If you have a local camera shop you could try that.

Alternatively, Vistaprint are forever doing "free" calendars, or five for the price of one and such. They're not actually free, as you've to pay postage on them, and I'm not sure what the quality or size is like as I've never ordered one, but it's an option.

I have used both snapfish and photobox for calanders in the past and found them great.
If you want to print it yourself, some of the photo magazines often include files on the accompanying disk at this time of year.
Alternatively, Google free calander template for 2011.
Here is one that cameup for me

I don't know what software you have to edit various templates so best to have a look yourself.

Any fujifilm outlet will do them for you, cost is about €20 but as you're getting thirteen 8"x10" prints (normally about 3 quid each) it's not bad value. Designs are a little limited but they look decent, you'll have space on the calendar to write stuff in too.

Ok ive found some fairly decent software which i can make the entire calender with myself. Now the next problem. When im printing it how do i get the glossy type of finish you see on professional calenders.
As in what type of printer and what type of paper?

Here's some glossy finish paper from HP (Ireland).

Is it better to use an inkjet printer or a laser printer?

Here's a comparison between the two.

Going by that it says Inkjet printers are better at printing photos.
Photo printing. Inkjet printers excel when it comes to producing lab-quality photos. Some manufacturers even make inkjet cartridges specifically for photo printing.
