Not too sure about you, but there does not seem to be a thaw on where I am (D4, Sydney Parade) - there is still snow on the roofs of cars and houses. Im not far from the coast either (just behind the strand road . . . )

The band os snow crossing UK is very interesting.
Not only has it gathered speed but it is also gaining in intensity.
It's almost reached the West coast of UK already.
We'll know more in a couple of hours but my earliest thought is that this could produce a widespread snowevent across the country.
Worth watching closely:)
