Bucketing down in Firhouse - had a quick wander out the front until my husband gave out to me for leaving the door open - " I'm not paying to heat the whole road". Bah humbug :D

Why is a NE bad ?

because the wind is currently blowing off land and things are looking marginal already (1.0 celcius here), when it switches to NE temps will rise...you'll be fine though as you're well inland in Kildare

So why was a NE good on Fri, Sat & Sun then? Kept being told before the streamers those nights, wait for the wind to turn NE lads, they've turned NE Woohoo etc etc

the wind was NEVER NE, it was always blowing from the land. The upper winds/circulation where the clouds are was/still is from the NE, pushing the showers in.

Jasus, enough of you are listening to the ATC anyway!

It's like a tribute to Leslie Nielsen.

Co-Pilot Roger Murdock: We have clearance, Clarence.
Capt. Clarence Oveur: Roger, Roger. What's our vector, Victor?

Temps holding well below freezing here at -2.6c DP -3.4c. Cloudy but heavy frost still in place. Roads really dangerous. Waiting for early morning for our snow in Waterford hopefully. Enjoying all the reports from ops in Dublin, great fun.

Welcome to FI Mojo... The only place in Ireland that we all live our dreams on a daily basis. We live together, cry together ( when it all goes pear shaped) but most importantly we are all closet weather freaks & simply love FI snow !!!!:D

For the person who said earlier it was 'bucketing snow in the Isle of Man', it's actually not: http://www.gov.im/tourism/webcam/webcam.aspx

Inland will see snow here I think but the coast is looking very marginal right now anyway. It'll be a wet windy night here.

    What are the chances of:

1)The school in Dublin west being closed tomorrow?

2)That we will get even more snow in Palmerstown (about 5cm so far)
