    Just had a look out the window again and it looks like there is a heavy downpour of sleet :mad: (near the coast in D4)

    These showers are really being aided by a more northerly direction of wind than I ever hoped for:

    All the NRA stations I checked north of Dublin have northerly winds or else a NNW aspect to them! While that lasts, anything that falls in Dublin is going to stay as snow or hail. But there will be a point in the night where the winds back easterly in Dublin again and for the first couple or few hours, the temps will rise.

    Now if only I could tell myself to keep the faith!:)

    Seems to be a bit of wind sheer, they said winds below 200ft are straight northerly.
