Heavy graupel/snow now, looks to be topping up the snow quite nicely here!

same up my end of the town. More snow than graupel now. I wonder does 2.5 miles from the sea count as off the east coast!!

M2 buoy (20 miles east of Howth) dewpoint gone from -0.6 at 2300 to +0.4 at midnight. Scenario?

I would think the cloud on the way over from the UK is rising it a little , but there is very cold air behind it

Just checked the M2 buoy, it can be seen that there is a definite rise in air temperature and dewpoint as this occluded front passes over. These temperatures are going to fall from 1am onwards I expect, and then by maybe 4 or 5 am it will be cold enough for snow in Dublin city itself. It will then just be a case of waiting for the inevitable showers;)

    ha!

On the weather, no thaw happening in Finglas, no snow or graupel either :(

Sky has been fairly clear the past hour or so, though cloud beginning to build up. Ground temp must be really low, just swept my steps, and the snow/graupel was like dust, no ice underneath either.

Snow starting to die down. Looks like it was just a brief shower. Still in hope that the system going over England will pass its way over Navan. :)

Light dusting of graupel happening now in D8 near the brewery. Not really showing up on the weather-cam on top of the Storehouse:
