Snow has turned to rain on Isle of Man. People on coasts shouldn't expect this frozen precipitation to last much longer. It should be back with us again by dawn:)

lol I only found out what it was tonight , it's a little fancy word these weatherphiles use to describe those little beady balls of snow , not exactly snow not exactly hail but inbetween or a bit of both lol Ii could be wrong!! :D

So not a full one, not a softie, more a 'semi'! Now I know!

I followed these sort of threads last year and can't remember the word 'graupel' ever being used.

It has to be the word of the day today on boards.

Nooooooooo. SNUBBLE is word of the day. Means a snow bubble aka. An area devoid of snow. An area protected by the dreaded SNUBBLE !! ( dramatic music)

Hey is Waterford expected to get any more snow?
Sorry I dont understand the graphs and stuff >.<

Looking at the latest Radar we should have some snow by 4am but just a few showers, then in the morning more prolonged falls. Thats the way it looks now but that can change. You can check live stats @ www.waterfordcityweather.com

Oddly though, the temp at Dublin Airport - and the dewpoint - have been dropping. Now -1 DP -2. When it was snowing/graupelling earlier they were both bang on 0.

    easing off here:rolleyes:
