Cheapest Bestest Weather Station

I know, old topic, but I got to thinking, Car told me -7 at my house this morning (457 metres up), The budget etc will screw me for beans so any ebay / online recommendations for a good CHEAP (sub 50 but maybe a little more) weather station ?

I got a oregon scientific weather station in Argos for my husband 2 years ago. Great value for 50e. We use it all the time. Only fault is I wish it would tell you what time the lowest and highest temps fell at. I'm sure if you were a serious weather forecaster it'd be lacking but I love it. Kept waking up last night to check it!

i was in maplins the other day in blanch and they had two good looking ones for €50-60. can't tell you what brand they were, but i was tempted to snag one. good job i didn't have the spare cash really.

Would be interested in this also. If anyone has good recommendations for weather stations that can be plugged into the PC to feed a web server that would be appreciated.

that looks very similar to the one i saw in maplins. can't be 100% sure tho.

i'd also be interested in something with wifi that i can connect to the internet so i could contribute to an online resource if possible.

i'm not reall a weather geek, but i AM still a geek so extra gadgets are always welcome and i could be persuaded to get into it if i had something to play with.

I was looking at this WH1070 unit on e-bay (hoping that santa will bring)

I don't think I would use the PC link on the bigger units as I probably just wouldn't have the time... appart from that would it be a good enough unit???

WH1080 has been superseded by the 1090 model which costs less from Signatrol incl postage than what Maplin sell the older 1080 for.
I know as bought 2 from Signatrol after checking with Maplin locally, saved a blast and got newer technology in the bargain

Not a weather station but my auld lad used to love his external digital thermometer but it died the other day, I just grabbed one of these in Maplins for €15 the other day as an early Xmas present, he's delighted with it, its a real high quality item for the price, its big and the second hand goes round in a nice smooth motion instead of an annoying tick, only reads temp obviously:

Please help. Have been looking at all the recommended advice here re starter weather stations and have told my partner that I'd like one but....... it seems that most I've looked at aren't suitable for a tiny terraced house with no garden in Dublin 7. Please, please help with reasonable suggestions that will bail my partner out and give me something I'd love to receive. ANY suggestions gratefully received. Budget around around €100.
