Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's all gone quiet again on the UK forums. I asked the Humax rep a question on a thread on the 25th, but no response yet.
If the update is scheduled it will appear on the DTG OTA download page http://www.dtg.org.uk/industry/download_schedule.php

Happy to wait for a bug free version rather than to get something now that causes more touble than it solves.

Just as long as they don't forget about us.

No news really, other than to say that DTG will not be downloading any new firmware to boxes between 15/12/2010 and 4/1/2011, so definitely no OTA updates to the Humax Freesat HD PVR until the New Year at least.

A beta version of the new firmware for the Humax Foxsat HDR has been posted on the Humax ebsite - http://beta.humaxonline.co.uk/freesat-hd

They seem to be trialling updates to the ITV player feature and have asked for feedback on this aspect specifically (not of relevance for RoI users as we are geoblocked from accessing this service similarly to the BBC Freesat i-player).

    Main changes:

    • Dolby Digital downmix included
    • Time recovered in standby after a power failure
    • Resolved recording issues if left on a part-time channel
    • Channel scan for channels added/removed/changed at 3am
    • Postcode Table updated automaitcally (over air)
    • MHEG improvements (BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, Teletext Jobsite support)

Disappointingly, the "recording from buffer" facility has not been included.

I haven't downloaded it yet but will try it later. It's beta software, though, so usual caveats apply! Installing this will remove any of the other firmware mods like ftp/samba/Twonky which have been made available on avforums.

Only for the HDR - that's what you were looking for when you started this thread - right?
