Though there has been some thaw on trees and the like, the thaw on roofs here is actually slower than it was yesterday when the sun was out stronger. There's still stuff on sun-facing roofs now whereas by this time yesterday it was all gone.

Met Eireann has updated their forecast also btw, at 11.38:

Started with sleety rain this morning. Ugraded to light snow. Now it's pelting down hailstones in balinteer. Temp has dropped rapidly (just been to the shop!)

north cork falls between two stools - snow for west munster we get no snow. forecast for east munster we get no snow! my patience is wearing thin.

Yeah def correct. I had to check it a few times. Not near any vents, exhausts, chimneys, roads...slap bang in the middle of a field, of the ground..a steady 5.0 now and a serious thaw.

It will either get very very wet or get very very icy in the next few hours.
