Mullingar is a disaster today apparently, roads weren't gritted at all this morning. The County Council seem to have been completely unprepared.

Join the club were we are in south Dublin there is cars abandoned everywhere, no-where gritted other than N81 Blessington Road. Bus sidewards down the road since 6am and is still there can't move. Paths can't be seen as the snow is higher than the kerbs and sky is just so dark its crazy. People attempted to go to work and couldnt get cars out of gardens including myself.

    Lunchtime thaw setting in today!

Quiet a big thaw going on but that said there are ongoing graupel/snow showers and the wind is picking up slowly...

    Conditions coming back on side.

Dewpoints back to subzero and temperatures falling.

Slowly heading back to snow territory for all.

Yep cars abandoned on the Dublin Road and the Harbour Shopping Centre car park is a no-go. The by-pass was down to one lane this morning as well. Asn its started snowing again.

Astonishing! It's sunny in Deansgrange, with wee bit of wet snow on the grass and easy driving.

lovely fluffly gentle snow on the breeze down here in Clontarf. Some heavy looking clouds on the way in by the looks of it. Quite the breeze has picked up too.

Wish I could give you an idea of temps or DPs. The inaccurate measure is that its definitely getting colder as the morning goes on

These snow showers are very short lived . . . can we expect any persistent snow over the next few hours?

Looks like it was on the wrong side of marginal down there. Might be better after dark?

Possibly.. theres a hint that the DP and temp are on the turn.. which might help. Green lumps of grass appearing all over the lawn now anyway.
