We got some in D20 earlier.

Parts of Dublin shouldn't be missing out here. But there is a large 'path' that is. The odd shower might still get through, but by and large you have two streams on either side and that's it.

Don't be fooled by the blob off Rush - it's been stuck there for several updates of the radar, probably just a glitch.

I am sure they are OK, just very focused on the driving. The little day old baby will be fine, snuggled in the car with Mum and Dad, they are tough little critters, babies. Please post when they get home

    Thank you, I will!

Looks like a lot more showers on the way for Waterford if the track stays the same.

My love of snow is seriously deminishing. Stuck on road between Kilmoon X and Duleek. Road is pretty much impassable. In a BMW(rear wheel drive and snow do not mix well) and have to negotiate a hill now if the traffic ever moves again. Grrrrrrr!!!

Wind changed. It was more easterly earlier in the day, it's now north-easterly I believe. As with light, when the wind moves, the shadow moves too.

Yeah, there are two streamers ok but unless this wind changes to the east most of Dublin will be deprived of snow this time! Meath is getting some (for a change!) and the rest is going more South East. Very strange set up indeed. East wind now or no snow except for parts of South Dublin IMO.:mad:

I was behind the White transit that was right behind you. Notice the arse of you car waving around. The road was like a gloss finish. Got a little better on the n2 though.

Because the snow shadow acts like a real shadow. Imagine a stick stuck on a sandy beach. Now draw the shape of ireland in the sand on its shadow. You now have a long thin shadow of the stick cast across your map of Ireland in the sand. See how the dark shadow line across ireland moves across the country as the earth rotates and the sun moves in the sky?

The stick in the sand is the Isle of Man. The Sun is the wind direction. ie. if the wind direction changes the strip of shadow cast by the IOM moves somewhere else on the map

Because the snow shadow acts like a real shadow. imagine standing in a darked room with a mate shining a torch at your back. You/IOM cast a shadow along the floor/ireland. Your mate moves around you with the torch. Your shadow moves across the floor. Isle of man is you. Ireland is the floor. Wind direction is your mate moving around you with the torch.

If the wind turns more easterly the shadow is cast further north of you in Lucan. If the wind turnsd more northerly the shadow is cast furter south of you

very well explained. Thank you :)

    Bastard Isle of Man
