At a mesoscale level the wind has shifted direction sufficiently to take the North County and the City out of the rain shadow.

    Radar here

At the 850 level they havent changed much and thats whats steering them, but that trof feeding through might do the same job anyhow.

Dublin City and North Co Dublin are getting hit in the next few hours. Lets see if the trains really will run tomorrow;)

Not doubting you DM2 but i've been refreshing that damn radar every 15 mins for about 6 hours ( I know - saddo) and that damn shadow doesn't seem to be budging and temps are on the rise again.

Pls put me out me misery and back up your fantastic claim and i'll never question you again.

That bit from Wales has turned SW now but it really does look like Dublin (at least south) is going to get some snow

    I highly question your doubt!!
Whatever the reason, there IS a definite shift in the showers in the Irish sea, and thats good for D4!

Snowing here now on the South side of Navan town. Steady and thick but small flakes and no strength behind it.

Hmmm, would it be an idea to post your location in the 'Title' of your posts....that way we can flick through quickly and catch our areas for news? The thread has 'snowballed' {sorry :)} since yesterday morning so it makes it hard to find out news about your own location and whilst its nice to read about the rest of the country, it means trawling for pages upon pages........just an idea :)

DP >0.0 = dirty wet snow, if it does snow, not the settling type unless its extremely heavy and horrible slushy stuff at that.

Quite fine flakes swirling around, not very heavy at all, but welcome nonetheless! Stars are disappearing, clouds overhead
