    Just thought I'd post a fresh thread on the state of the roads in Ireland atm.

    Any bad/impassable roads, post them here. AA roadwatch have the majority covered here

    LEINSTER* *WESTMEATH*
    Gardai continue to urge motorists not to make any unnecessary journeys around the county, as fresh snowfall is causing major problems around Athlone and Mullingar and on the M6.
    • In Athlone Town, Main St on the west side of the town is impassable at the hill.
    • The N55/Longford/Athlone Rd is blocked by a truck at Ballykeeran, Glassen Hill.
    • The N52/Mullingar/Delvin Rd is blocked at Rathconnel Rd jct by a jack knifed truck.
    • The Mullingar/Castlepollard Rd (R394)is passable with care.
    • Ballinahown to Athlone Rd is blocked at the hill.
    • Bus Eireann Athlone services are severely delayed at this point due to poor weather conditions and traffic is severely delayed in the town.
    • Irish Rail services from Galway and Westport are delayed by over an hour passing through Athlone.

    *WICKLOW*
    Heavy snow overnight. Avoid driving on higher ground and mountainous areas. The N81 at Baltinglass is treacherous, secondary roads around Arklow are poor. The Sally Gap & Wicklow Gap are impassable. The Roundwood/Laragh Rd (R755) is also very poor.

    *KILKENNY*
    Fresh snow in Co.Kilkenny making driving conditions treacherous.

    *OFFALY*
    The Kinnitty/Mountrath Rd (R440) & Slieve Bloom Mountain Rd are closed.

    *CONNAUGHT* *GALWAY*
    Extremely treacherous conditions in Galway. Heavy Snow is falling the city, poor conditions in Tuam and Gort, extra care is also needed on the Coast Rd from Oranmore.

    *ROSCOMMON* Heavy overnight snowfall in Roscommon. The N63/Athleague/Roscommon Rd and N61/Roscommon/Athlone Rd are passable with care.

    *ULSTER* *MONAGHAN*
    Fresh snow around Castleblaney, Carrickmacross and Monaghan Town. Extremely poor roads around Emyvale, Scottstown and Clones.

    *N15/DONEGAL*
    Treacherous on the N15 Donegal/Ballybofey Rd at Barnesmore Gap where roads are very icy.

    *CAVAN* Overnight snow in Cavan has resulted in extremely treacherous conditions.

    *MUNSTER* *CORK*
    Fresh snow and icy conditions throughout Co.Cork, extra care is needed around Ballingeary and Inchigeelagh in particular.

    *CLARE*
    Fresh heavy snowfall causing problems throughout the county especially on the N67/Lahinch/Quilty Rd at Lahinch and Milltown Malbay and on the Ennis Rd (R474) and through Ennistymon.

    *WATERFORD* Fresh snow in Waterford City is making conditions treacherous.
