Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So last week I was in Munich, Germany and had the opportunity to visit Dachau concentration camp. It was an experience and a strange place to visit.

The gate into the camp, Dachau was the first concentration camp in Germany. Arbeit Macht Frei meaning work makes you free

A watchtower beside the boundary fence. If a prisoner approached the fence or walked on the grass near the fence they were shot

The foundations of the prisoner barracks.

    The boundary fence

In this room prisoners were told they would be using the showers and asked to remove their clothes, in reality they were being led into the gas chamber. In Dachau the gas chamber was never put into use

i reckon some of these might do with a caption; we don't know what the room in the last photo is, and i know that number 3 shows the foundations of the long since knocked barracks for the prisoners, but the shot might have more impact if that was made generally known.

No one said anything to me, and there was plenty of other people taking photos.

Went there in the summer myself..
Really really interesting, horrifying at the same time..
Images are of the main gate and the prison cells.

Maybe it's just Auschwitz then.... the ban applies to indoor photography on the site afaik.
