Spice rub thing?

Got some chicken thighs last week in the butchers and they had a lovely spice mix rubbed on the skin, they didnt have any this week so i bought plain thighs. only thought of asking them what they stuff was when i got home :o Anyone got any ideas what to put onto the skin and make it tasty?

MSG, salt, pepper and colouring mostly, I'd say!
