BB cuts out

    Im with eircom, standard netopia router, everytime the phone is answered the broadband cuts out. i have it set up with a splitter, router into one and phone into the other socket and then splitter plugged into the eircom white box thing,no idea what its called. does anyone know how to fix this?
    its a pretty old splitter so could that be the problem?

    Is everything connected to the phone socket filtered? If they are it sounds like your filter is busted. Call up tech support and they can replace for free.

    That's definitely a filter problem. Make sure it is actually a filter, and not just a phone splitter.
