Snowing heavy in Carlow with already about a foot on the ground! How reliable is the rain today radar as it looks like carlow is ready to get a load dumped on it!

Stopped in Drogheda - it's been snowing since 7 in the morning or so and there's tiny patch of of blue sky and while clouds in the sky. It's picture perfect at the moment. Kids next door is methodically plastering their house's brick front with snow - probably making a Santa's grotto.

    Oh, sky is dark again...

It's like something out of a comic strip in here - our hero Thunder Snow versus the evil villain The Shadow!

    Still nada in Lucan.

Most of Cork, Kerry, Clare, Limerick, Tip, have no snow. Cork City has nothing at all as usual.:)

Add most of Longford and its borders with Roscommon to that too

Out in Tallaght, Dublin 24, and it's coming down quite heavily now.

Any idea how long this shower might last? roads are already pretty bad, and I'm worried a fair few of us might get stuck.

I don't think that will happen. Those showers will die over the UK. Any snow we will get is going to come from the Irish Sea in form of streamers.
BTW, duplicating posts is generally frowned upon as it's spamming the forum.
