Heard that. What worries me is that I also saw it with the shutters and curtains closed.

We haven't had much let up in the snow all day today. Husband measured it at 10 inches an hour ago.

Have to be in Carlow for 9.30am tomorrow and dreading the drive. Got to Tullow today and roads were desperate. The N80 near Ballon (Boggan Hill) was very slippy - even though they had a snow plow working both sides of the hill all day.

The N81 to Tullow was desperate - high snow piled at edges and in middle - very poor visibility.

Hope everyone still out makes it home safe tonight.

Lucan - at 19:57 saw a flash of lightning and then ~30 seconds later was a sizeable rumble. I always equated this to 30 miles, but I saw a post last night that offers a different view. I think it was a shorter distance, but am not sure.

Information/boards overload  (the question marks over the smiley head should be steam...)
