I had a moment of madness and threw in an offer for one when I had 'drink taken'.

Seem to be loved by those video game enthusiasts ;)

Perfect for a cocktail table, a bit pricey though.

They're amazing little monitors. I'd kill for one of the bigger ones.

Don't fancy the wired RGB input though :(

Yeah that was the first thing I noticed about it that'd put me off it. Though I suppose you could make up an RGB scart header socket & leave it permanently connected to the tv

That'd look nice alright, not sure what I'd be hooking up to it, maybe the NTSC Snes or the TEST PS2?
It'd be easy to tate on a shelf as well, with it's nice, flat sides.

I have a similar issue with my Amiga monitor. It supports RGB, but through 6 din. Need to put a scart female to Din 6 male cable together. Actually it was on my list of things to ask if you would be interested in doing :D

Rather annoyingly, I did buy a scart female to male 6 din connection, but it's a mini din. So close. Doesn't fit a standard 6 din slot. The mini din connection needs to be removed and a standard din soldered on instead.

Would a Scart to BNC cable not work there?

@Kerbdog - Make sure you get a picture of it actually turned on and working. Would have been tempted if it was 20" although I've enough CRTs atm. :pac:

It might work - I'm going to pretend it won't though because like yourself, I really don't need any more CRTs! (as much as I'd love more)

Putting my Ikea/Dreamcast cab up for sale. Need the space!

You'll get commodore and atari stuff in the RAGE alright, but not the cabs, try Adverts, and there's Retropolis, they appeared on FB a few weeks ago, only online based at the mo but have said they're getting a bricks and mortar setup in central Dublin at some stage.

There was a wiring standard brought in with arcade machines in the 80s called 'jamma'. Most machines and games you'd want to play are jamma compatible. Meaning you can just switch out the game boards and put another game in.

Operation Wolf is pre jamma though, so you need an adapter. I'm not too sure how that would work seeing as a shooting cab is a bit more technical than a standard arcade machine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,790 ✭✭✭Jack burton

Operation Wolf looks to be a monster of a cab!

Looks great, aside from the monitor.
Other thing is, it'd be great to get one more fire button on the cp, it would really open up the number of old school games you'd have access to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,147 ✭✭✭CathalDublin

Very nice workmanship but why go that close to the original with artwork, cpanel, etc and do the dimensions all wrong?

haha no way, ive enough cabs at the minute, still have to get rid of 4 or 5. It looks good artwork wise, its a bit off on the shape though. mame on the pc would be limited due to the buttons on cpo which is probably why he only mentioned 50 games in the add.

Missed on that feckin' sega lot checking to see was it worth it. Really dont know the values of sega stuff. Knucles 32x is pricey.

Are any of the 32x or sega cd games worth playing though?

Also if the sega cd only loads to the bios screen is it safe to assume its wrecked?

    Questions for all btw

Probably not, you could do the old multiregion bios mod which has its own bios chip piggy backed onto the existing one

On 32X Star wars arcade was top notch and VR racing.

Never had a Mega Cd but if I did I would love Snatcher and Silpheed If i had one.
For the craic you'd have to pick up some of those Sh1tty FMV games that came out on Mega CD.
