Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Snes & Megadrive maybe...I wouldn't be paying €10 a cart for very many Atari or Game Gear games though.

You'd be better off spending that sort of money on a Pal PS2 TEST console, region free out of the box, I have one and it's fantastic

Some form of old alkaline batteries probably! Seen a few corroded ones in my day.

Interesting aside, I used to have to take steroid tablets daily/multiple times per day, and if they touched your tongue at all, they tasted like that old corroded battery acid smell...

I had a test one a while back and traded it on here for a stack of Snes games. Probably wasn't a good deal but the guy was looking for one for ages.

You do, yeah. Get a few terrapins from local pet store and colour them accordingly.
Don't put mushrooms in the tank, green diesel all the way and nitro ala 2Fast and faster than fast.

It's made up of 3DS components (including the screens) all mounted on a PCB. Looks mental

Very surprising to see something like that up alright. You see some PS3/360 bits, but they're mostly just debugging units. Anything modern and more technical than that is very often pulled or not even in circulation yet as it's still being used.

I'd love to know where this came from.

Indeed, to see a current gen proto/dev unit like that is that bit different. Ninty are normally extremely closed about proto/dev stuff too arn't they?

Nintendo are very protective over things like this alright. I remember when someone listed that NES Earthbound proto it was taken down pretty quickly.

Not so much bug testing gear, so you see a lot of that appearing on ebay. There have been quite a few 3ds debug kits listed lately and they haven't been taken down.

Regarding Atavan's lot - it's those beta discs he has which are most interesting about it. He has so many that at least one of them must have non retail code on it! :)

Ah, looks very like dev kits I've played around with from a company I won't mention, but it was a mobile/smart phone dev kit.
Kinda something you just put on a shelf as a 'nice to have'. Ended up shredding the one I had...might have been a silly thing to do thinking back on it.

Lakers Versus Celtics for the Megadrive. Another one of those 'are we sure this game exists?' PAL release titles. Crazy rare. Very possibly the rarest.

Check it out though, the seller got an offer of £500 in an email but declined. Auction ended at £236. I'd say he's kicking himself!
