Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That Kart one is savage looking, imagine that in the centre of your living room, I don't think I'd get that into the lift in the apartment block

Is anyone getting spammed by this lad's crap through ebay alerts?

    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Beanbone-Online

He has 8,325,185 ads listed :O

They're all 'articles' - basically copy and paste jobs from Wikipedia. It's even mentioned in the ads.

They keep coming up for all my gaming watched terms.

I hate that not splitting crap. You know he'll be splitting in a few days.
He should just sell then as system lots and they'd fly out the door.

I don't think I've ever seen a situation on adverts where someone posted a huge lot like that and sold it successfully. It just doesn't happen.

What kind of person would have 3.5k sitting in their bank account waiting for a lot like this?

Nobody, as someone with that kind of money would already have bought up bits and pieces like this already.

You think he'd at least try to emulate a CRT on the LCD. With the price of each one I'm sure he could include a graphics chipset capable of handling HLSL.

It's just expensive hipster rubbish really. The 9 buttons look crap.

And it looks like a Raspberry Pi or similar is running the show. A raspberry Pi is about 30 euro!! So he doesn't even have a proper mini pc in there just justify a small amount of the asking.

It looks to be a really early gen lcd arcade machine. Must have been a huge selling point at the time given how riddled it is with '16X9'!!1111

/edit: actually maybe its just a 16:9 CRT?

Steel Diver is great. Got that recently. Feels more like a tech demo though than a big, meaty game.

Solatorobo was low stock when it was a fiver. Well worth getting though if you can pick one up. €4? That's a quick pick for Saturday! :pac:

Got Zelda yesterday. Mainly because I can use the book in the treasure chest now! :)

Typing adventure has been reduced to €8.99 according to their website.

Tempted to get Dragon Quest IX, but I've never really been into RPGs (well, apart from Pokemon). I've played parts of other RPGs, but they've just never interested me in the slightest.

DQIX is really good, my son finished it last year, had a ball with it.
Well worth picking up, especially at that price.

Might pick up that pokemon typing, could do with the keyboard, hard to pass up at 9 euro!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,297 ✭✭✭Ron DMC

I bought 3 of the typing adventure. The keyboard is dead handy for use with an ipad or tablet.

Is Solatorobo any use? None in Dublin, but I'll be passing one or two argoss on the way down the country tomorrow so might reserve one.

does it definitely come with the keyboard?
    pic doesn't appear to

Haven't bought it myself, but everyone else's copy seems to have come with a keyboard. If you're near an Argos ask if you can have a look at it before you buy it. I've asked a couple of times and they've never refused.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,147 ✭✭✭CathalDublin

Sweet, I don't want the game but the keyboard will come in handy, passing Argos in Ashbourne on my way home and they appear to have plenty

Yep, it's only a non-keyboard picture. Preordered from the website and picked up in store and it had the keyboard included.

Afaik, the game isn't available without the keyboard.

    It's a lovely keyboard too.
Just hold down the function key when turning on to initiate it's visibility to devices, then pair it up with a code.
    Works on everything afaik.

Not sure if this should go into the dreamers thread or not but the real rarity is the SNES booklet with the NES console.
Why dont they list the 21 Games(5 of them are the duckhunt/mario 2in1 and a 3in1 too)

Also posted this on the Nintendo forum but for anyone here thinking about getting a 3DS:

Yoshi 3DSXL €175 in Argos at the minute, €50 off the normal price. Think it was €190 when I picked mine up, lovely version of the console imo and a bargain for anyone thinking of getting one.
