    Sandyford update

    Clear, calm, sunny day. Very little thaw, snow and ice more or less the same as this time yesterday. Max hit 5C after overnight frost and currently -1C.

    South of here in Glenealy, County Wicklow, the snow is still fairly intact, as this shot at 12 noon shows:

    Nearly 6:30pm in central Illinois. The east coast is getting a hammering while we got off lightly, about 1-3" of snow but the windchill is wicked (will probably drop to close to -25C or worse!). Gusts at around 50mph right now and blowing snow.

    Dull cloudy and cold here, nearly 3c. Still lots of snow and ice on the ground, don't think it will be going anywhere now in a hurry considering temps may fall to -4 or lower tonight.

    Warmer here today than it was yesterday, most of the frost melted today while it didnt yesterday. Still a few pockets of snow around as well so theres a chance it might survive the thaw and make it through to Thursday!
