    -5 in Lucan. Light snow was falling for a while there, but has now stopped. We have about 6-7 inches I think.

    Sandyford latest.....

    After a cloudless sunny day till 2pm it is now grey and snowing heavily again. Still no wind. Despite the sun it didn't rise above -2C and it's now back to -4C.
    (Snow depth 20cm).

    Mind you, that's only the RoI record; in Castlederg the other day it peaked at -11C.

    I hope it all falls in your garden.
    After my five hour journey home last night I'll happily never see another flake fall in my lifetime.

    It's fascinating seeing Ireland getting such a hard winter, unfortunately having to go to work and generally get on with life in trecherous conditions takes the shine off of looking at the pretty snow.

    The coldest night of the spell so far is on the cards for Waterford City. The temp now is -3.8c and falling fast under clear skies. Will be interesting to see if my station record low of -7.7c is broken.
