Dull, cloudy 8.7c in Waterford with an easterly at 5km/h

Gotta hand it to Waterford - very consistent on the weather front! Though I see you now have a balmy 9.4 while we're stuck with a miserable 8.2. That calm leaden grey dampness kinda grows on one...dunnit? We'll miss it when it's gone.

Yes, it's dreary all the way here in Waterford...
Can't say it's growing on me though!!

Amazing how the ground hasn't dried out since the snow has gone. I'm talking about roads and footpaths, all still wet despite the rise in temps.

Currently 7.6°C here, very dull skies. If we had the same skies 2 weeks ago we would be up to our necks in snow ;)

I don't mind the cold at all and have been out in the garden in short sleeves doing some tidying up. The dog is sprawled out on the grass as if it was a warm summers day !!

The temp constant around the country is amazing.

Looking at the various NRA weather stations around the country and all are in the range of 6.4°C to 7.7°C.

It wasn't that lomg ago since we had 10°C variations.

I discovered the weather approx 5 years ago and it really is the most fascinating science there is. And it has Jean Byrne of course ;)

Watching the live new years stream on BBC there seems to be a serious amount of snow falling right now in Moscow! You cant make out anything in Red Square other than the cathedral

As for here, unsurprisingly its been a grey and eventless day once again, the most exciting thing is that the temperature has dropped one degree since earlier today
