Well Organic is guaranteed..... 3 questions and 4 if your lucky!

Rates have seemed to get a whole question for the past years since 2002 (new course) so that also looks like a good question.

Both of those topics are really nice especially rates... organic is a bit tedious but gives a very good return!

I haven't done the following but there has been a good 30/50 marks on chemical equilibrium.

And then there is your experiments : 1 titration, 1 organic (included above) and a random one!

This subject is not hard if you really get into learning it..

    Just remember these basic tips:
    - The most important section to learn is organic cehmistry as 3 questions are based on this..make sure you know the substitution rections and ionic addition..very easy to learn
    - You have 8 organic experiments.. ethyne, ethene, clove oil, soap, ethanal, ethanoic , benzoic and chromatography..its worth your while learning ll of these as questions are always straight forward.
    - Question one is your titration
    - Question 6 is usually always fuels and heats!!
    - Make sure you know chemical bonding!! this is really important..

Learn them and you should do fine!!
    best of luck!!

I would agree with alot of the aboe. Break the subject down into manageable topics that come up every year. This is the

    Thermochemistry.. 1 question
    Atomic theory... 1 question
    Rates of reaction.. 1 question
Organic experiments..1 question.. sometimes 1/2 question on section B also
    Titrations.. 1 question
    Remaining mand. experiments... 1 question
    Organic... structures/mechanisms etc. .... 1 question
Water and pH ... 1 question
Chemical equilibrium ... Minimum half question... of ten 1 question

If you break the subject up like this it is quite manageable.. Ensure you know the experiments very well... You can attempt all 3 on section A and they often pop up on section B. Don't try and learn them at once. Break them up into 1.organic, 2.titrations and 3.the remainder...

    Good luck!
