Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether I should put 4" or 6" skirting boards into a new build?

It's personal choice, but we went for 6" painted, and it looks lovely.
Unless its a very contemporary design, 4" could look a bit stark, I think.

+1 also, If you have high ceilings then 6" for sure but its a personal choice. Builders during the boom fitted 4" to most houses because it was cheaper. If you look at both together you'll make a decision quicker.

Definitly 6",do all your priming ,undercoating and sanding before fitting as its a lot easier.

I think this is a 6" skirting with a 4" skirting attached onto it

Looks like 6" with architrave fixed to it.
