Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Man City:
Given, Boateng, Toure, Lescott, Zabaleta, Wright-Phillips, Vieira, Milner, Adam Johnson, Balotelli, Jo. Subs: Hart, Richards, Adebayor, Kolarov, Barry, Silva, De Jong.

SV Red Bull Salzburg: Tremmel, Schiemer, Sekagya, Afolabi, Hinteregger, Mendes Da Silva, Hierlander, Leitgeb, Cziommer, Jantscher, Boghossian. Subs: Walke, Augustinussen, Zarate, Svento, Alan, Ngwat-Mahop, Offenbacher.
    Referee: Libor Kovarik (Czech Rep)

City should put away these jokers by 3 or 4 handy enough.

Clearly not a follower of City OP.... Or you'd know that no one does losing to jokers better then City!! That being said, at home even without a full strengh team the business should be done!

Decent crowd in tonight. Ticket prices of a fiver for adults and one pound for kids shows we aren't just about the money ;)

Milner gettin absolutely sold there, frustrating player at times, bit of Dirk Kuyt IMO a lot of hard work and at times is let down by natural ability! A better Dirk of course!!

EDIT: Oh and STFU Pat Dolan, ya prick!

It's a cold night so a lot of folk wouldn't be arsed for what isn't a glamour tie.

The point is that the club didn't do an FAI against Norway.

Always find it mad when you can hear the players shout to each other, its like watching Fingal.

Balloteli (sp) seems to be doing well.

Should been a booking there for Red Bull

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,169 ✭✭✭JohnnyRyan99

Soundin like Fingal, playin like Brazil!

    :pac:

    EDIT:Balls

We need to show some killer instinct in the second half to finish the game as a contest.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,169 ✭✭✭JohnnyRyan99

Ye been disappointing in the way we don't seem to be able to put it to bed! Balotelli's been great but it's almost like he doesn't take the opposition seriously, if he was fired up for a game he could be lethal! Although then he'd probably get sent off:confused:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,273 ✭✭✭racso1975

That crap of toure and balotelli not even makin it out on time for 2nd half kick off really shows the attitude mancini has to put up with!

I was wondering what the story was with this Alan chap thought he must of been a former youth prospect so I checked trusty wikipedia.
Alan Douglas Borges de Carvalho (born 10 July 1989 in Barbosa, São Paulo), simply known as Alan, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for the Red Bull Salzburg[4] in the Austrian Bundesliga. He also plays for the Brazil under-20 team.
Alan became popular amongst supporters of Manchester City F.C. in the December 2010 Europa League tie between the two clubs. After coming on as a 57th-minute substitute, Alan repeatedly recieved some of the loudest cheers of the night and a number of terrace chants, and has developed something of a cult following by the club's supporters. Shortly after the match, his Wikipedia page was altered to include such outlandish statements as 'he can fly' and 'he is the best footballer ever'. Alan has now gone down in folk law and his new film and autobiography are set to rock the very foundations of modern day football. Also, reports have emerged that Superman wears Alan pyjama's.

Super Mario is going to look amazing in Rossoneri next season
    :pac:

    Pato - Balotelli - Verdi

The future Best strike force in the world!

And we have ibra to slot in for Verdi until he is ready for the bigtime, not to mention Alberto Paloschi and Alex Merkel as back up. :p

Wouldn't bank on that signature Seaneh, you may have to make do with Santa Cruz if the papers are to be believed :pac:
Emmanuel Adebayor is ready to dig his heels in with Manchester City to force a loan move to Tottenham in January, while Aston Villa want Eastlands winger Shaun Wright-Phillips and AC Milan are interested in their striker Roque Santa Cruz.

What an abomination of a football club this Red Bull is. Did they bring many to Manchester?

    Want to qualify that remark?
What exactly is wrong with them?

Red Bull bought the original club and turned it into an advertising vehicle for their horrible drink. They changed the crest to a symbol with wings and changed the strip from the traditional violet/white to a walking billboard for Red Bull.

When the fans protested, they permanently banned thousands of them from their own stadium.

These fans started their own club with the original name and crest at the bottom of Austrian football. Theyve since won four championships and been promted up to the third tier, where they are six points behind the promotion places with a game in hand.

Youd be hard pressed to find a more stark version of the horrors of modern monied football than these scumbags.

So, they're the MK Dons of Austria?

Pretty much yeah, they get abuse everywhere they go. Bohs played them in the CL qualifiers a couple of years back, it was weird hating a team more than Bohs
