Opinion on cheap cordless hammer drill

I was thinking of getting dad a cordless hammer drill for christmas. No nothing about them really. saw this one http://www.buy4now.ie/woodiesdiy/productdetail.aspx?pid=7768&loc=P&catid=10.11

there is not much info on it.. .anybody have one, know somebody who got one?

as it has 2 batteries and they are Li-Ion....

Anybody know anything about cordless hammer drills in this price range? I assume there is a lot more to them than the higher voltage of battery. THe one on amazon got a lot of good reviews. so thinking it could be a safer bet....

IF anybody has any opionions or advice I would be very greatul.

IMO if you actually want to be using the hammer function of a hammer drill you need atleast a 24 Volt drill, anything less is nothing more than a screw gun if ya ask me

Screw gun is a little bit of an exageration, I have maganged with a good 18 volt if stuck.But yes for fixing to masonary or drilling through masonary then 24volt is your best bet. Makita or Bosch are the best IMO.
