Ken Doherty this evening qualified for the final stages of the UK C'ship next week with a hard fought 9-7 victory over Rod Lawlor. He now plays Stephen Maguire on Saturday.
Meanwhile on the other table Jimmy White has lost three of the first four frames to now lead Joe Perry 7-5, this one will be close as I predicted in a previous post.
Ironically if White wins he'll play Stephen Hendry in the first round and if he beats Hendry not only does he send him home early but he'll send Hendry out of the top 16!

im worried for jimmy now, hes just gone 7-6, hes never been the best under pressure and isnt a great front runner, hopefully he can hold it together for 2 more frames...

Perry just missed the brown to go 7-7, needs a snooker now.

Phew, perry really came back at him but he held it together really well.

So its Hendry v White in the 1st round, time for a bit of overdue revenge on Jimmys part :)

Oh and i have tickets for the final session of their match, lets hope its a good one :D
