hi - I'm a decent skier but would like to give snowboarding a go. Does anybody have a recommendation for somewhere to go to learn to snowboard before Christmas as I have time off. I suppose that since I'll be learning that it doesn't matter so much where I go as I'll be on my ass a lot. main requirements would be somewhere cheap.... Decent english speaking tuition would be handy too...

I'd prefer it to be abroad and on real snow! there doesn't seem to be any package deals before dec 20. normally I organise flights etc independently but would have thought that there would be some cheap packages for december.... anybody ever gone this time of year?

Am heading over myself nxt Thurs to following Thurs to Oz/Alpe D'Huez.

I've a chalet with loads of space over there to get ready for season, so if thats of any interest let me know. I'll be renting a car to get up to resort.

I dont think snow will be a problem :D
