Dreaming of your future love/spouse

Hey,

Do any of you know of these rituals to dream of a future lover. One of the girls here was telling us that her grandmother used to tell them stories when they where kids about how you could do certin things and you are mean't to dream of your future love.

If nothing else it sounds like a bit of craic. she doesn't remember the whole story, just something about sleeping with your shoes at the foot of your bed and a mirror under your pillow.

Anyone know of any others?

We(in Poland) have some for the St Andrews night.

Girls can take pieces of paper and on each write a name of a guy. Put them under the pillow and take one out in the morning - the name on the paper should be the name of the future husband.
There was also something about hiding a ring, rosary and nothing under third one. Ring meant wedding, rosary - becoming a nun, and empty - no changes(but I think there was also an option with being single, or something along this line).

The only rituals I know about are...

The one where you sit looking in a mirror at midnight at Halloween and, hey presto, you see your future spouse's face peering over your shoulder at you in the mirror.

Peel an apple in a full circular motion, toss the peel over your right (or left, can't remember) shoulder and the peel will make a formation to show your future wife's/husband's initials.

Twist the stem of an apple and recite a letter of the alphabet at each turn, the letter your on when the stem breaks off is your future spouses first initial. Punch the skin of the apple with the broken stem, again reciting the alphabet. The letter your on when the skin breaks is the second initial. Very easy to cheat tho
