It's still snowing in North Balbriggan. It has been pretty much since 10.30am. Perhaps 3 inches or so. Before it started we had a bit of a thaw on but it's certainly not thawing now.

Spoke too soon! Coming down heavy again here now. Turning to snow. I'm amazed where this is all coming from. It should have cleared by now.

The heavy stuff is starting to arrive in Newbridge :D

Temp is also on the Rise

    Temp -0.6 from -1.8

    DP -2.0

This does not look to good for the folks on the east coast

Radar looks good for a half hour or so.

It does indeed - the band seemed to be missing south but then just changed direction after 10 and started sweeping north. It's almost like it wanted to miss the Wicklow Mountains :D - as soon as it got level it shifted north. Jammy!

Snow has stopped in Portlaoise for now small bit of a thaw on but the wind chill factor makes it feel the coldest yet today!

Definite thaw in Lucan, snow melting off my car and windows free of ice.

The excellent snow shield in D15 persists ;)

Slight thaw I guess. I see some snow falling off leaves and stuff, but nothing very major yet.

Bad , the temps were very low down here last night

    -10.6

    -13.2 in Nass

So it took a lot to bring them back up today .

Temps were not as low on the direct east coast , so when the warm core arrives I think it will make it very marginal for some.

Massive big flakes belting down now here

It leads me to believe that the radars can be used only as a very rough guide today!

Thawing here in Clondalkin, lots of dripping outside and the roads in my estate are lethal. Even neighbours just pulling out of driveways are sliding all over the place.

Really light mist rain/tiny snowflakes. Can't quite make out the difference lol. Definitely warmer, ice has melted on the car.

Light snow for about 15 mins now in Greystones, very light but the hills are slowly disappearing in the distance so heavier stuff must be on its way.
