Raining outside Enniscorthy. On one hand I want rid of the snow, on the other I'll miss it. If only the council could get their act together and grit the roads/Buy a snow plough I wouldn't mind snow all winter.

There is a thaw here even thought its -1...i can see lumps of snow falling of roofs etc:rolleyes:

We shouldn't get too complacent. With a slow thaw setting in there is even more chance of falls and slips. I know I nearly went over during lunch! Also hard nighttime frosts will mean very icy roads in the mornings. Any overnight precip. will freeze so take a lot of care out there.

Raining in Enniscorthy-the problem is that the ground is so cold it's turning to ice almost instantly.

Raining in Sandyford, all the snow coming off the parked cars. Boo!!

so it looks like freezing rain could be a real problem for many tomorrow morning. showers will make their way across the country from east to west in the eary hours. the showers will be rain and sleet in most places, except for the midlands, parts of the north, and the northeast

i would still class this as a cold spell. there will be a good thaw in cities, but in rural areas and high ground there will only be a slight thaw over the coming days.
