Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi folks, not sure if I am in the right place for this. I have probleam with my laptop, on the cd drive, I am not sure what the technicial name for it is, but when you put the cd/dvd into the drive, the bit in the centre is broke. Is this an easy fix, as I cannot use cds/dvd now, cheers.

If you're referring to the spindle in the centre of the drive that you 'click' the disk in to then I guess you're going to have to get that replaced.

Can you sit a disk in it at all? When you close the tray can you hear it spin?

As a quick fix you could buy an external cd drive that you can hook up to your laptop via usb.

What's the make/model of the laptop?

Yeah, its the spindle. I can still put cds in, but its making a loud noise, part of the spindle is broke, so i guess that it where the noise is coming from. Its a HP. I will bring it to my local computer shop and see which is cheaper to do, fix or buy external drive.
