Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Unlocking the O2 HTC Desire

    Hi,

I looked around a bit and found some threads contradicting each other.
What I basically would want to know is: Is the O2 HTC Desire SIM-locked ?

I tried with a SIM card from a friend, but got no network and it kept asking for the SIM, didn't dare to enter it more than once in fear of locking his SIM-card but it didn't seem to work.

But everywhere I read people claim the HTC Desire is NOT Sim-locked ?

Now, I know of the shops where you can get it unlocked, but apparently O2 can provide you with a code too ?
Any info on that ? I scanned the O2 website but can't really find a way to get the code.

    Thanks.

I have an o2 desire. It is unlocked but rooted to o2. When i inserted another sim it took a few mins for it to pick up a signal. From what i read on different forums it seems the Desire is unlocked on all networks.

    Ok, thanks.

So basically all I need to do is unbrand it, to get rid of the ridiculous O2 logo ? :D
