    Very cold air here, -3.0c the max at 1.50pm (highest since 9am) and currently falling away once more. -3.6c now despite the sunshine. Some damn cold air over eastern/central Ireland. Any precip that hits this airmass will be of snow.

    Still bitterly cold with frosty icy conditions and freezing fog too.
    Outbreaks of sleet and snow, mainly affecting Ulster and Connacht this afternoon, will very gradually move southeastwards today (freezing in contact, adding to severity of icy conditions).
    Further wintry outbreaks tonight and tomorrow.
    5 to 20cm of snow over parts of Ulster, Leinster and east Munster
    Generally 0 to 5 cm elsewhere
    More over higher ground
    Lowest Temperatures - 2 to - 9 degrees C. tonight.

    Valid 1400 6/12/10 until 2000 7/12/2010

    No chance :pac:

    Hard to take a forecast seriously when weather gets spelt wrong :P

    Hopefully it holds off till my missus gets home from work safe she had 2 skids this morning on her way to Portlaoise. It can snow all it likes after that :D

    never seen a frost quite like it absolutely everything is white from trees to cobwebs it looks amazing, even seeing all the aeriels on the cars in the carpark all covered in white, very strange

    Graupel just started in Shercock/Kingscourt, Cavan.

    The movement south of this band is going to be very slow.

    Don't expect precip to reach Dublin until near 7pm and it will be very slow moving.;)

    Wasn't expecting anything for a while now was keeping an eye on the full moon in a few weeks :)

    Yeah freezing fog leaves a lovely frost :) very picturesque
