    Light snow at about 5.05pm, flakes in the air. Steadily grew in momentum up to now, and it's very heavy now. It's all just floating down with the faintest hint of a SW wind.

    According to NRA data, the temperature here is at about -3 or so.

    The folks are close to freaking out at home:( The driveway was cleared with a JCB only on Friday and it's snowing still heavier now...

    The nearby fields had about 25cm snow this afternoon before all this. I don't think the temp went above 0 here as there's absolutely no evidence of thawing except with salt.

    4 to 5 inches of snow so far still snowing heavy. Just got back from Cavan i met two snow ploughs clearing the roads. Its just unreal here at the moment.

    Looking at the HiRes Model, it seems Dublin will see freezing rain for a short while, before turning to Light-to-Moderate snow until 3am-ish when it will return to rain/sleet due to a NE breeze setting up. At 7am or 8am all precip will have finished. Quite a mess.

    Cant even see Edenderry its covered. Freezing rain at the mo so if this is correct its gonna be another day on front of the fire tomorrow.

    Just in from hockey training at school. The kids loved running around in the crisp snow. It was amazing watching the clouds roll in over the course of the session.

    An evening in watching the computer screen and looking out the window is in order...

    That raintoday prediction is pretty impressive if it plays out. Still coming here but lighter than a while ago. Looks to be a second spiral of cloud forming behind the initial front...

    Been snowing in Belfast since about 3pm. Nice gentle snow if you know what I mean. There's about 2 inches lon the ground now. Hard to say given that it has been falling on to a layer of ice
