Snowing away here still in Dundalk. Looking at the radar the front is a little over halfway through here. More to come!

Snowing seems to have intensified in Dundalk, larger flakes also.

This front is making seriously slow progress south, any areas in snow now are likely to see good accumulations if temperatures stay favourable .

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

My head office in UK has asked for photos of the snow if we cannot make it in, to prove it is that bad

    Now reporting heavy snow.

Accumulating on B taxi ways only - main runway okay

    Clearance crews called in.

More airport closures on way ?

Supercell, how far south do you think it'll make it?

    Estimated time for South Dublin/Wicklow?

    thanks

had some major big flakes on my way home to navan on the m3, home now to what looks to be another 2 inches of fresh snow

and i only turned off the snowcam yesterday!:eek:

Graupel turned back to bigger flakes and getting a bit heavier too (!)
Also snow is starting to swirl a little in an increased breeze (from NE)...temp -1.7
Wouldn't take much wind to turn this into a blizzard.

We had about 5-7 CM's here in Cavan and still light snow

Is there anything more on way behind this or will there really be a thaw for the weekend?? (hoping not)

All but stopped now in Lucan - just the tiniest of flakes still falling. :(

Areas that were cleared now just look like they have a sprinkling of icing sugar.

Never mind the snow.. When did ye all start building a bridge to Wales ???

That's not a bridge, it's the start of the first bank of a brand new canal from Dublin to Holyhead so that the fast ferries can run in all weathers without being upset by all those nasty wave things.

If they make the banks high enough, they can also use them for the cyclists so that the green agenda can be fully implemented.

The other possibility is that it's the beginnings of a replacement for the Isle of Man to make sure that all the winter streamers from the North East can't miss Dublin in future:D

    Steve

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Falling steadily here for the last 90mins. About 2 inches have fallen. I dug my car out this morning to go back to work tomorrow. Afraid I'll not make it now.

    Tis still beautiful though.

    Just looking at yesterday's temperatures at 12 o'clock. Dublin - 3,
London + 5, Amsterdam + 5 and Paris + 3. Dublin has really been under the kosh in the past week temperature and weather wise and has had much more snow over the past ten days than many other cities in Europe.

M2 gone Northwest is no good for streamers, unless you live in Wales
