Still a few flakes here in Dundalk. Not long left though I reckon. Back edge of the front nearly here according to the radar.

2cm fell in Maynooth so far and it's still coming down, although at a somewhat slower rate.

OK, disregard that second part, it started bucketing down again, full sneachta power over Maigh Nuaid!

Went out to clear the drive (over an inch fallen so far) in case we get anything like the foot in dundalk and it was covering up as fast as I swept. Pretty heavy here right now.

back to heavy snow now in south tipp :)

My balcony, which was frozen for the last few days, was melted by the rain earlier and still nothing settling despite falling wet snow. Atlantic snow is best for the west.

Snowed heavily between 5.30 and 6.30, 7.45 for half an hour, a heavy burst at half 8 and 9pm until about now. Otherwise it's been moderate or light. An unbelievable amount of snow, right up to the totals from Tuesday here again. About 30 or so centimetres, about 10cm on a car which had no ice on its roof this morning.

The radar keeps suprising me. I didn't expect it to pivot that much considering most of the models suggested it sliding away to the south more. To be fair one or two model runs did suggest an outcome more like the pivoting around/near the Isle of Man.
