Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Im driving my sisters Micra (04 model) and while taking the snow from the roof I snapped the aerial just where it hinges onto the roof mounting, is it easy to replace or do i have to leave it in somewhere to get it repaired.

You could buy the part yourself and it wouldn't be that hard to change if you are anyway handy with some basic tools. The roof lining inside the car may have to come out though which can be a bit of an operation.

Thanks, I had a feeling Id have to take the roof lining away but wasnt too sure, so its down to the scrap yard tomorrow I think.

If your sister isn't too bothered about the broken aerial you could replace it with an internal antenna, this means the radio will work fine but it leaves the broken one in situ

How does the internal one work?

can you explain how to remove the lining, do I have to remove the plastic mouldings between the windscreen and the doors first?

That's the one there, I put one in an old car of mine that had a wing aerial, I mounted mine behind the dash and it worked perfectly well, so it wasn't even visible

The normal terms for a cars roof pillars. a = windscreen pillars, b = the center pillars and c = the rear pillars.
