Wet weather, trainers?

    Hi all - i've only recently started running & was going great in august with dry roads etc. I have a pair of Asics, but I find them extremely slippy in wet weather, let alone this ice and snow (have not attempted a run)

    Even if there is a fine layer of damp on the road, after a bit of drizzle or anything, I seem to go flying.

    Can anyone recommend decent trainers for soggy/damp ground?
    Does anyone else have this trouble? :o

    Most manufacturers have at least one trail version available which generally have better grip and sometimes a different rubber compound on the sole to work better in wet conditions - somewhat like a vehicle tyre:D

    A lot of choice is personal preference in terms of fit but some good opinions mainly related to the somewhat "serious" side of off road running are in this article:
