    right folks

for those who have just arrived and want to meet a few people
this is a good starting point, last year we had a few boardsie's join us.

Starting in Durty Nellys and making way through surry hills and city.

This is the 5th year we've done this!

If you want any info feel free to ask

there is a FB event if you want to keep track also

    Cheers

The local taphouse is a micro brewary and been recently voted the best beer in sydney.
The beresesford in surry hills is a great pub which has just gone a multi million $ revamp ... it can be a bit snooty

Maquaire Hotel is a micro brewery too.
Durty, Porterhouse and I think forbes are all irish bars

"Irish bars" is a vauge imo.
you hear people all the time say "I don't drink in irish Bars", as if it makes them better than other people. I agree, some are annoying, full clowns, and the place to portray some ridic image of ireland. But you get aussie/english/etc bars that are just as annoying too.
There are plenty of decent bars that happen to be Irish "be it the name, the owner etc" and don't try and force some poxy image down your throat.

Dirty's is a nice bar, small, quite at times, excellant food, and prob the best guiness you see in australia. (it consistantly sells the most in NSW dispite being reletively small). The memory will prob start to go for some of the later ones :D

Myself and the GF are in for this, will just about make the 1 o'clock kick off, have to drop the housemates off at the airport and speed back.

We're doing a sort of reverse of this tomorrow evening starting off in the Angel bar in Angel place (5.30) if anyone is around, finishing up in the Crown in Surry Hills.

Hope we get to watch the sunset and harbour bridge from Sweeney's rooftop terrace!!

    Tis the silly season surely!

    Corner of druitt and clarence.
The rooftop is really nice! the down stairs is a bit of a old man pub.
    But upstairs is cool!

Should be a few of us heading too... Great work organising this

    Can I tag along?

Moving into my apartment on Saturday so will probably be late but I'd love to meet some more people in Sydney

Gutted I missed it. Stupid delivery people not getting there till 6. I'm sure it was an eventful night (as all boards nights tend to be)
