Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I dare ye to quote me as I quote you

And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything.

So if you quote me, I shall feel rather spiffying much like Shakespeare here.

Dare they not tantalize my wishes?

Shall I compare thee to a toffee pie?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
I’d gorge on good banoffee till I die ,
But give it up to have you as my mate:
Sometimes too hot desire burns in my heart,
    And often do I wish my lust more tame;
You grumble that you’re not a bloody tart!
But cheer me up no end when you are game:
And then I think of love and constancy
Banoffee pie doth never have your moods!
It lies there waiting for me patiently,
And gives me ease when fickle love eludes.

Your moods at times can leave a man hard pressed
Banoffee pie will always soothe my breast!

I did. It was a super secret ceremony, so not everyone was invited. Actually it was so secret that SparkyTech wasn't invited! But it happened, and it's irreversible.

How about a single plum, soaking in perfume, served in a man’s hat?

    I'll do it myself

I rewrote to the lyric to "The Art of Suicide"

    I wrote a pie song
to the tune of Emilie Autumn's "the art of suicide"
which I hasten to say already has great lyrics

    the art of making pie,
    sealing filling
    with crinkled crimped pastry ring.
    The contents steep inside
    juices and fruit
and spices kept under the crust.

Under the arches pushed up be the steam
escaping though slits cut across the crusting
    Rise
    Rises in whiffs
That carry the smell of the concealed contents
    Rise to the brain
That singles the spill of the salivary gland
    Rise while we're drooling
Just for a taste of that hot pie filling
    I want the pie
    I want the pie

    The art of cooling pie,
    piping and crisp
set onto the window seal lips
    Delicious, It's gone she cried
    pie snatched away
by thieves that were passing that way

    ...

Pie is not like making cupcakes
with a simple batter that's poured into a hole
no, the dough must be rolled
cut and pressed for the fillings it holds

Pie is not like making cupcakes
with a simple batter that's poured into a hole
no, the dough must be rolled
cut and pressed for the fillings it holds

    ...

    the bruises on the cherries
    melt into the pie
    the worms within the apples
    melt into the pie
    the sour of the lemons
    melt into the pie
