Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was two and a half, so wherever two-and-a-half-year-olds would be.

Hell I was alive when the beatles were still a band, elvis was skinny and blokes were marching around on the moon. :D

I was in school IIRC. I remember the news bulletins later on in the day and the radio playing imagine ad nauseum.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth.

    I was asleep in bed.
When I woke up I turned on the radio to Radio 2 (which was still comminatcha in those days)
Ronan Collins, for it was he,was reading out a list of famous people who died on this day,and added.."And we'll now have to add John Lennon to that list"

    ...wtf?

I suppose it was the same as when Mary Byrne was voted off X -Factor ...grabs coat

I was in my first year in secondry school at the time.

I was on my way to Geography class when I noticed some of the older lads crowded round a newspaper.

Some of them looked genuinely shocked.

I knew something pretty heavy happend there & then.

At the time, I didn't know that much about John Lennon or the Beatles.

I found out pretty quickly though, what with all his music getting round the clock airplay in the aftermath...

Been a big fan ever since.:)

30 years ago, eh? Time flies....

Totally read the thread as Jack Lemon, and I've only now discovered that he died 9 years. Nobody told me!

Anyway, I wasn't born yet when John Lennon was dead. I was an angel baby in heaven.
