Water Restrictions - 17th January, 2011
Water storage levels are now adequate in the Dublin region and South Dublin County Council can confirm that we are now in a position to lift water restrictions and return to normal water supply from today Monday 17th January.

Following the continuing improvement in the drinking water storage levels in the Region no planned shutdowns will take place on the nights of either Monday 17th January or Tuesday 18th January.
Works in Blackrock, scheduled under The Dublin Region Watermains Rehabilitation Project, are not covered by this notice and householders and customers affected by these (rehabilitation) works should refer to the separate notifications delivered to them.

Update 2.30pm

The updated position @ 2:30pm with respect to water repairs are as follows:

Esker Road, Lucan. - Works complete and water supply restored to area.
Liscarne Gardens, Clondalkin.- Works complete and water supply restored to area.

Hillcrest Walk, Lucan - A contractor has hit the watermain at this location. The water supply has been shut off in the area and works will be carried out shortly to repair the damaged watermain. We hope to have full water supply restored here by mid-afternoon.

Greenhills Business Park - A contractor has hit the watermain at this location. The water supply has been shut off in the area and works will be carried out shortly to repair the damaged watermain. We hope to have full water supply restored here by late-afternoon.

Following the continuing improvement in the drinking water storage levels in the Region no planned shutdowns will take place prior to the night of Monday 24th January 2011. However, as water demand across the region has not yet returned to normal levels, pressure reductions will continue across the County, but with a reduction in severity. These areas are listed below. This position will be reviewed by our Water Services team on Monday 24th January 2011.
