Is this just ridiculous? Would instructors just laugh at me? You see I did my lessons and test in Roscommon but I've since moved to Dublin where it is busier and more difficult to drive. My main problem is with parking, I can't parallel park and I can't reverse the car into a space and when I drive in I often end up way too tight.

    They'll gladly accept your money.

How'd you manage to pass your test in the first place though?

Suppose the test doesn't ask you to parallell park, or reverse into a driving space etc.
It's practical lessons it seems the OP is after!

I'm a perfectly good driver/hillstarter/three-point turner. I just can't park, which isn't asked in the test and therefore my instructor didn't teach me!

You should have been taught, and it should have been examined, but fair play to you for identifying a deificiency, and asking for help to correct it.

Does anyone know anyone who has gone and done this? I'd say it could be really embarrassing lol. "Oh the silly little girl can't park," or something similar!

Good idea, Just because somebody passed their test doesn't mean they are any good of a driver

    Nothing personal of course :-)
It's just I beleive that everybody should be made do a refresher test (not something that can be failed, just mandatory) every 10 years or so. A lot of things change on the roads after a few years. Roundabouts for example

No ADI is going to refuse work and any decent ADI will appreciate someone trying to improve their driving skills.

Several companies require fleet drivers to do continuous training to drive their vehicles.

hello tigerblob....absolutely not at all ridiculous to go for more lessons for specific driving issues. I have passed my test recently and left my instructor with a plan to come back for more advanced issues later on including parking and motor way driving. I think in fact you will get very good value for your lesson if you have very specific issue...well done you for being so insightful
