Oucy, seend someone do that around 2 years back over a roundabout in ice. Nasty one indeed. Cost wise. Ive no idea.

Is there no sump shield on that model?

A garage should be able to weld it up for you for a small fee.. Head to a small garage not a dealer..

I used to hit mine alot and burst it and the local garge would fix it in 10 mins...

Did you run the car for long with no oil? You could be looking at replacing more than the sump

I'm sure you could get a sump is a scrapyard fairly cheap.

Easy thing to replace too. Few bolts, a new gasket, and some gasket sealant and away you go.

A second hand sump wouldn't be expensive. How badly did it leak though?

If your engine was run for any length of time with low oil pressure the damage will have started.

I imagine replacing the sump on your car is a straightforward enough nuts and bolts job. having said that, on my old BMW, the engine had to be raised to get the sump off, as there wasn't enough clearance otherwise! Strange but true.
