    Hey guys :)

My girlfriend and I are going to Cork city for the day on Sunday. We'll probably go into a museum or two during the day, so what are your suggestions? :)

I was thinking of going into the crawford art gallery, but is it open on sundays? :)

No. city museum is closed as well.

The Glucksman Gallery is open in the afternoon though.

    By reading this website:https://www.fachtnaroe.net/~it.seanc/project/museum.html

it looks likes the museum in Fitzgeralds park is open 3 - 5 on Sundays.

The Cork city Gaol and radio museum: http://www.corkcitygaol.com/

    is open on Sundays 10:00 - 16:00.

    good suggestion murphym7

earwax_man, the Gaol (jail) and the museum in Fitzgeralds park tie in nicely together, content, experience and distance wise. If you're walking, it's nice (+shorter) to go through Fitzgerald park and over the shaky bridge.

    Enjoy.

    Thanks guys :D

What do you think about this so? Get off in Kent station, walk to to the butter museum, spend an hour or so in there; spend some time in the city; go to Fitzgerald Park and maybe go to the museum if it's still open.

As a huge fan of museums in general(main reason i spent so long in Germany over the summer) all i can say is be prepared to be bored out of your skull up in the butter museum....

I think the Butter Museum is either closing or already closed.

I think there is a museum in Collin's Barracks but you might have to book by appointment.

I thought I read in "da paper" that it was closing and some sound thing-y was going in there, but I might be wrong:)

    Either way, here's a look

I didn't need an appointment when I went there but it is only open for a short periods on certain days, best to check before you go
