Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How many liters in total would these cars take for a full tank?

Carzone will give you the data you're after.

What relevance is the tank size in any calculation? It doesn't affect the economy of any car.

Strangest thread I've seen in a long time!

surely you should be more worried about the additional cost per mile?

So if you took a car doing X mpg, approximate 1 gallon as 4.4 litres, the extra cost is about 17 cent for X miles.

It's annoying when people use a "tank" as a unit of measure for fuel consumption but in this case I think the OP isn't concerned with fuel consumption per se but rather how much the budget increase is going to cost them (per week/month/year). Assuming the OP is driving the same car in the same way and on the same journeys, then their fuel consumption and yearly mileage aren't (theoretically) going to vary much.

If the OP knows that their car uses on average a tank of fuel in a certain time, say a fortnight for example, and they know that a tank now costs €1.80 extra (45 litre tank according to carzone by €0.04 extra per litre of petrol), then their fuel bill for the year will cost an extra (52/2 X €1.80 = ) €46.80.

Two pedantic points with regard to the gallon.
There are 4.546 litres in an imperial (UK) gallon.
Carzone have used the US gallon which only as 3.8 litres (for tank capacity anyway).
