Window fitters don't use regular expanding foam, reasoning that they expand too much, they use a specialist foam, (can't think of name) which doesn't have the rate of expansion that the standard stuff does.

    You think so...?

I imported great stuff gaps and cracks pro from Geocel above and 3 of my biggest industrial users were window fitting companies.

No, I don't. Its what I was told by a guy putting in a PVC door in my house. Asked him why he was using what he was, and not regular expanding foam. That's what he told me. Just passing the knowledge on.

Bonding to wood ... for service(not application), underwater. I want to inject it into a cavity and have it exert pressure to push into all nooks and crannies. Regular stuff doesn't bond well and will exude through irregular hold. Sufficient containment isn't practical for more than a few min's.

This is as a temporary fix ... to try to determind the extent of the damage.

Phone geocel techanical dept in the uk. They will tell you which product will do and then tell you where to buy it here.
